Police have charged a Mississauga man whose passenger was critically injured in a rollover in Burlington early Saturday morning.

Around 4 a.m., a Honda minivan veered off the ramp from the Fort Erie-bound lanes of the QEW to Walkers Line and rolled on its side.

Two men in their 20s were taken to hospital. The passenger was in critical condition and the driver had minor injuries.

Sailesh Ananth-Krishnan, 21, was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and having a blood-alcohol level higher than 80 milligrams.

He was released bail and will appear in a Milton court on April 13.

The ramp was closed for about five hours for the investigation.

About an hour earlier, a Ford Explorer hit a Chrysler sedan and rolled over at Airport and Derry roads.

Paramedics took three people from the car to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV wasn’t hurt.
