Mississauga mother guilty of manslaughter in toddler’s death: report

April 11, 2015
By

A Mississauga woman has been found guilty of manslaughter in the death of her three year old daughter on Friday, Mississauga News reports.

Nandini Jha, 38, had been charged with second-degree murder, however the Mississauga News reports the jury went with the lesser charge instead because they weren’t convinced she meant to kill the girl.

The child suffered serious injuries in September 2011 at the family’s home on Green Meadow Crescent in the area of Cawthra Road and Dundas Street East.

She was rushed to hospital and died the next day from head and brain injuries.
More to come.
