August 10, 2014

A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Mississauga.

Peel police say it happened just before 7 p.m. Saturday at Meyerside Drive Kestrel Road, in the Courtneypark Drive East and Tomken Road area.

The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to break into several pieces.

There has been no word as to what caused the crash but police say speed is believed to be a factor.

β€œAt this point, just based on the collision itself, speed is going to be a factor,” explained Insp. Rob Higgs.

The victim, believed to be in his 20s or 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area will remain closed for several hours while police investigate.
