Perspecsys Expands Global Footprint With New Canadian Office

November 15, 2014

MISSISSAUGA, ON–(Marketwired – Nov 14, 2014) – Perspecsys, the leader in enterprise cloud data protection gateway solutions, today announced the opening of its new Canadian office to support global demand for its cloud security solutions. The new Mississauga, Ontario office will house a growing team of engineering, sales, product and marketing personnel that bring Perspecsys’ AppProtex Cloud Data Protection Gateway to market. The solution, part of a fast growing category that Gartner has coined “Cloud Access Security Brokers,” is deployed at some of the most innovative and largest enterprise organizations across the globe.

According to Gartner, cloud adoption will reach $285.7 billion by 2018, as enterprises look to reduce IT costs and streamline operations, from customer service to big data analytics. The new state-of-the-art, collaborative 12,000-square foot Mississauga office will provide Perspecsys much needed growing room to enable the cloud adoption plans of some of the largest brands in the world. These customers rely on Perspecsys to keep sensitive and regulated data under their complete control, even while adopting public cloud applications like ServiceNow and Salesforce.com.

“The proliferation of the cloud across enterprises around the world is requiring organizations to not only secure sensitive data and meet industry regulations, but also to ensure the high performance of mission-critical SaaS-based applications,” said David Canellos, CEO of Perspecsys. “Our team of dedicated employees is one of Perspecsys’ greatest assets. The opening of the new, state-of-the-art Mississauga office gives us room for our expanding employee base in the technology region of Ontario, enabling Perspecsys to meet the rising demand for enterprise cloud data protection gateway solutions across the globe.”

The AppProtex Cloud Data Protection Gateway gives organizations the ability to protect data before it leaves their network. All sensitive information is replaced with a token or encrypted value while inside the enterprise’s firewall; prior to going to the cloud for processing and storage. Since sensitive data never leaves the organization’s control in any format, any exposure of the information to unauthorized parties is meaningless. Of equal importance, the Gateway ensures that users of cloud applications are not impacted — they can still perform functions like searching, sorting or reporting on encrypted or tokenized data within their cloud applications. The enterprise benefits from retaining complete control of their information — essentially making the public cloud private.

The new Canadian office is located at 5110 Creekbank Road in Mississauga, Ontario. The grand opening ceremony will take place today at 11:00 AM and will feature the Honorable Mayor of Mississauga, Hazel McCallion.
