Police in Mississauga have released surveillance camera footage of a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery of a taxi driver last year.

A man pulled out a knife and demanded a taxi driver’s cash and belongings in the Broadway Street area of Mississauga on Feb. 17, 2014, around 10:45 p.m., Peel police say.

The suspect then fled west along some railway tracks, they add.

The driver had picked him up in the City Centre Drive area.

The driver, 32, was not injured.

The suspect is described as male, white, 5’7 to 5’8 tall and age 24 or 25 with an average build. He was wearing a brown toque, a baggy black jacket, a grey hoodie, baggy black pants and white sneakers.

Anyone with information can contact Peel Regional Police at 905-453-2121, ext. 3410. Anonymous information can be left with Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477 or online at www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
