December 20, 2013 – National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) Mississauga Power

(Mississauga, ON -) After multiple lead changes between the two Peel squads throughout the first three quarters, the Brampton A’s managed to pull away in the fourth, and held on to win their back-to-back meetings against the Mississauga Power tonight at the Powerade Centre, 101-108. Mississauga had solid contribution with five players scoring in double figures. Alex “Superman” Johnson carried the team – finishing with 24 points. Kirk Williams Jr. had a solid game off the bench with 17. Dwight McCombs and Bo Harris each had 15. Brampton guard, Cedric Moodie, led the way for his team with 22 points. Evaldas Zabas finished with 20 points and five assists.

The Power came out strong in the third quarter – up by as much as seven points before Brampton hit three 3-pointers in a row to regain the lead and the A’s did not look back.

The Power’s leading scorer this season, Nick Okorie, had an off night. He was without a filed goal in the first half and finished with just 9 points on 1-of-7 shooting.

Technical fouls also played a large role in the Power’s loss . Three were given out in total – two to head coach David Joseph and another to guard Tyler Murray. With this, the A’s were able to close in on the Power lead without the clock running by nailing their free throws.

Mississauga will hit the road to Windsor tomorrow to play their third game in as many nights. The Power have split the season series against the Express so far at 1-1. The Power return home as they host the London Lightning on the 27th and the Ottawa SkyHawks on the 28th Tickets on sale now at the Hershey Box Office or Ticketmaster For the latest updates on the Mississauga Power, Like Us on Facebook or Follow Us on Twitter!
