January 3, 2014 – National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) Windsor Express

(WINDSOR, ONTARIO) Quinnel Brown’s double-double powered Windsor to a 101-91 win over Mississauga on Friday night at the WFCU Centre, the first game of three straight between the clubs.

Windsor (15-7) will host the Power (7-16) on Sunday, January 5th at 2:00pm and the two teams will renew their rivalry on Wednesday, January 8th in Mississauga.

Brown led all scorers with 24 points and included 14 rebounds in his efforts. Chris Commons had 15, a team high.

Darren Duncan continued to put the ball in the hands of Windsor scorers, registering 16 assists – the most he’s collected in a game this year.

Duncan also had 13 points.

Windsor trailed by one at the half but outscored Mississauga the rest of the way, with scores of 30-25 and 25-19 in the third and fourth quarters.

The Express were without DeAndre Thomas, who sat out tonight’s contest as the first of a two game suspension handed down by the league for his actions during Wednesday’s game in London.

Mississauga gained 21 points from Kirk Williams Jr. in the loss.

The next home game for Windsor is Sunday, January 8th at the WFCU Centre at 2:00pm against the Mississauga Power.
